Hi, I'm Sarah. I'm a junior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in music. This blog chronicles my four month stay in Maynooth, Ireland, studying music technology and Irish culture. I hope to be writing about my adventures as well as posting videos/pictures. Thanks for stopping by!
Video diary chronicling my adventures abroad.
And yes, I realize the incongruity between this blog’s title and the video’s title - I spent four months studying and one month traveling around Ireland with my mom :)
Sunset over Connemara
I stayed out there in Salthill when I visited Galway, it was lovely :) That sucks that you get to go home so infrequently. Galway is one of the best places for the craic. Love the Quays :)

No problem :) I just got back home and now I’m homesick for Ireland too. And Galway city or county? You’re living somewhere else now?
Galway City, Co. Galway
Clifden Castle, Co. Galway
Glendalough, Co. Wicklow
Coast near Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland

Ireland has the best traffic signs.
Howth, Co. Dublin.
Say what you want about the hell of finals week back home, but at least the agony isn’t stretched into 3 miserable weeks of feeling like you should study all the time, not really studying, feeling worse, and finally packing it all in like the last day and a half before your exam.
And it doesn’t help that all four of my exams are each worth 60% of my grade for the module.
I WISH. I was going to take a class here but that didn’t end up working out :( But I am a musician and I get to hear lots of great trad music so it’s all good :)
